Meeting Minutes
The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission (NCAN) held a meeting on Thursday July 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall.
PRESENT: Joseph Grasso, Jennifer Johnston, Linda Watson, Jennifer Rogers, Emily Howard
ABSENT: Donna Mangiafico, Martin Blanco, Robert Kaiser, Debbie Aurelia
Meeting Called to order at 7:10 p.m.
DISCUSSION:
Labor Day Parade:
Jennifer suggested passing out the remainder of the crayons from last years parade. It was decided by the group to not take out a $250 ad for the LD program. Flyers and posters for the Flagpole Radio Café will be distributed as well. It was suggested we purchase a banner for the Labor Day Parade which will be decided at the next meeting. The question was raised by Jennifer Rogers if we could sell tickets for the Flagpole Radio Café.
Flagpole Radio Café:
The first three dates for the Flagpole Radio Café have been set as follows: September 12, October 24, and December 5.
Other Business:
It was suggested by Joe Grasso that we invite John Cusano to speak to us in regards to the CT Culture & Tourism Grant programs.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. No motions.
